This is the full Mame 0.149 CHD collection. I have already fixed the chds to be placed and played instantly. I will keep these updated as needed. Also look for my Mame 0.149 Full rom collection & Mame 0.149 Art work, etc collection. First off Thanks for the upload and I hope that it gets the seeders it deserves !
One Question -- Would it be possible to upload the CHDs as individual files inside the package rather than a single compressed archive ? Figure that way if someone has a problem with a single CHD from the set they could selectively download just that portion and be able to skip the other 100+GB. of download. Also that would probably get more seeds on the more popular CHD files as those that only download certain portions could assist in seeding them after downloading rather than having to keep a second copy of the entire RAR taking up space on their HDD. Not everyone has an extra 150GB of free HDD space to keep the RAR file and thus wind up not seeding once they unpack the files to their MAME installation by extracting them, while they could seed directly from their MAME folder if the CHDs were uploaded directly rather than inside a RAR file.

That is exactly what i wanted to do with all the Mame uploads i have done thus far. But the issue with doing that is the torrent file its self exceeds the limits allotted if it is not rared. So it comes down to the hard fact that i am unable to just put the files in a folder and upload it so everyone could pick which ever Chds they wanted. That was my idea anyway until the big old Error Wrong Code came about, because of the torrent file size unrared. Rared= no Error Unrared= Error and no upload :( I am really sorry, but this is the only way i can get them out.

this is crazy.. 63 leechers? I started downloading the day it came out and im only at 15%... ugh wth happened
@Vile -- You seem to be confused on the terminology used in torrents -- everyone downloading this will be listed as a leech until they have the complete download (at which time they would be changed to a seed) The stat has nothing to do with whether those people are uploading or at what speed they are doing so and thus this has no effect on the speed at which you get the file. If you look at your download peers you will notice that most of your download speed in fact comes from leeches (ie. any download peer that shows less than 100% of the file downloaded would be listed as a leech in the stats) Many users do not realize this and constantly complain about the number of leeches but that is normal and as I said does not effect the download speed of a torrent and in fact having to few leeches will slow download as there are fewer machines to get the parts of the download from.
IF you are having problems with the download speed there are a couple things to check --
1) what is your internet connection max download speed and what other internet services are you currently using. (if using other internet services your download speed will automatically slow to allow those as torrents are lower priority downloads) Also remember that 1 MBs on the display is actually 8Mbps from your internet provider speed listed (1 MB = 8Mb) so an advertised connection speed of 12Mbps advertised by your internet provider would be only 1.5MBs Max as shown on your download speed in utorrent
2) Have you adjusted the MAX upload setting in your preferences properly (leave download speed setting as MAX since it will adjust to the available bandwidth automatically and slowdown if other higher priority services require the bandwidth but upload bandwidth can become saturated causing severe download slowdowns if left set to MAX) -- ie. if it is set to MAX it will saturate the upload bandwidth of your connection causing your download to be slow as there is not enough bandwidth to keep the download connections to your peers so you will constantly lose and reconnect to peers rather than download the torrent pieces. You should set the max upload speed to around 80% of the max upload speed of your service so that the extra 20% is always available for the background communications between the peers and your system and other internet services (this way the peer connections will not constantly drop and connect wasting bandwidth)

@vile continued -- To further explain the terminology and the fact it does not have anything to do with the download speed of the torrent - If you look at the stats currently there is only 1 seed listed since the torrent is so new that no one has completely downloaded the entire 154GB _- So everyone that is connected other than the original poster of the torrent (currently 60 people) is shown as a leech (including yourself) even though they are all sharing the pieces of the torrent that they have amongst each other)

Hey guys. I am sorry for the speed restraints on the torrent. I have had two power outages since the upload, so i have lost nearly 24hrs of upload time. How ever i just wanted to let you know i have uploaded 134 gig so far on this torrent, and as promised i will continue the max upload speed of 10mbs Which as JD went to explain will result in 1Mbs shown or 1024kbs. So it is cooking along, and will continue to do so until i have reached 308gig, and then i will cut it down to half the upload speed. I am really sorry for the speed of downloading atm, but it is 153.19 gig worth of download. So hang in there guys, it is pumping as hard as it can pump " I've given her all the power i got cap'n i can't give her no more." Star trek..lmao..talk to you guys soon. 15% (23gig) complete. DL time is infinity. Elapsed time 3 days 16 hours. 94 gigs uploaded. i dont think this is a viable way of sharing this beast.
Is there any chance you could put this on
alt.binaries.emulators.mame
or

that way you upload it once then we all get it at the same time at full speed.

Yeah guys, i am really sorry for the immense size of this torrent. I know it will take some time to get some seeders, on the torrent. But once there is some seeders i promise it will be well worth it :) I hope we can all stick in there. As for once the seeders begin i have the laser disc set ready to upload. Halloweenpsycho i see that you had previously commented on a torrent i checked on before Exceedingly MAME 0.144 i am very much a noob at this would you rec or is it worth it to check out this one i am not sure what differences they have from one another

The difference is that with each release of Mame, there are several roms/bug fixes that are added as working through the emulation. I hope this helps :) Cheers.

nice idea, poor execution. Should have split the archive down to multiple more manageable RAR's, like most large rared torrents, this is just too large to risk.
